RIP AltStar Hall of Famer Masuimi Max

When Masuimi Max was inducted into the AltStar Hall of Fame, AltPorn wrote, “The legendary Masuimi Max was mixing burlesque and fetish and punk before altmodel was even a term. Her electrifying live performances changed expectations and she has been on more magazine covers than any other altmodel.”

When someone passes away, people often say they were one of a kind, but Masuimi Max truly was one of a kind. Her contributions to the alt genre are so important that she genuinely helped shape the vibrant space where alt now flourishes. I personally enjoyed working with her, even at her whirlwind most force of nature danger level, maybe especially then. She won so many AltStar Awards and even performed on our event stage. Her excellent advice helped us decide to move the AltStar Awards to Las Vegas.

Mainstream coverage of her untimely passing is all “she was published by Playboy and Maxim and here is a hot photo of her” which is fine, but her accomplishments were so much more than just that. She designed her own websites, ran the Vegas Chaos events with bands and burlesque, performed all over the world with very creative routines, modeled for a who’s who of alternative clothing brands, was a muse for many legendary artists and photographers, and created beautiful artistic shoot after shoot in partnership with Morat. We are so happy to be able to welcome Masuimi Max as headline feature performer, for the 2022 AltPorn Awards, also known as the AltStar Awards, presented by Bad Dragon.

Masuimi Max has probably been on more magazine covers than any other alt model and she has performed her unique brand of burlesque all over the world. Coming now from the talented and super-artistic folks at Bad Max is a new set of Masuimi Max herself that could, very loosely, be called cosplay. I say very loosely, because although Masuimi’s dark wings are clearly a work of art and amazingly made, there’s very little else to her ‘costume’.

Bad Max took their founder out into the forest for this stunning photo shoot and only thought to bring some bikini underwear and a pair of bat-shaped pasties in the costume bag. The results are pretty astonishing. Take a look at the pictures and imagine for a second that you’re a hiker rounding a corner in the forest on the day of the shoot. The swirling mix of terror, fear and arousal you’d feel seeing Masuimi Max on the path up ahead of you would be pretty crazy.

But for the rest of us we’ll just have to make do with the resulting photos, which is a good deal in my opinion.

I have to say that Masuimi Max looks amazing in everything, but she truly looks her best in the color red and in this set from her Bad Max site you will find it hard to disagree. Of course, red is even better when she is mostly just wearing red on her lips and that is much of her outfit choice in this exquisitely beautiful set. It makes for a nice splatter on her clothes and on her white bodysuit, like a spray of blood all over body.
