The event opened with a red carpet sponsored by Bad Dragon and our own AltStar Magazine. The event featured performances by Nostalghia and Nyxx on the band stage and DJs included Tommy, Pyrce, Jpeg, and Rocky. This series of photographs is primarily of our AltPorn Awards afterparty, including Masuimi Max’s fire fetish burlesque performance. Although we start our red carpet arrivals with an invite-only time period, we feel it is important that our awards show and afterparty celebration be open to the public. In all creative fields, this year’s fan is next year’s superstar, but this is especially true in alt where the indie spirit is so important. In alt, we are all part of the same community.

AltPorn.Net is thrilled to announce that the AltPorn Awards aka AltStar Awards will be back live in-person, in Hollywood, California, at Bar Sinister, on June 11, 2022. We have missed you all so much and, while the virtual editions of the AltPorn Awards were wildly successful, beyond what we had imagined virtual could be, we are just really happy about getting back to real life.

AltPorn Emperor Cutter Smith says, “Returning to being able to have a physical red carpet and being able to interact in person is such a pleasure. Authenticity is really important to us and this beautiful venue really fits our mission of supporting independent and alternative creativity, including gothic, fetish, burlesque, tattoo and everything which makes up the amorphous blob of a genre known as altporn, indie content, and subculture erotica.”

Nightlife impressario Tricia La Belle welcomes the show back to her venue, saying, “Out of our seclusion and privileged with life again! We’ve come to truly learn how much we need social interaction and to appreciate life a wee bit more! Bar Sinister has always been a haven for the uniquely creative and open minded soul. Our incredible team at Boardners and Bar Sinister all came back eager to serve you, and assure that we run a great operation. We are beyond excited to see EVERYONE again! AltPorn.Net readers may recognize Bar Sinister as the venue for the last two AltPorn Awards events. This alternative home of fetish and bacchanal will be celebrating its 20th anniversary tomorrow. The event is presented by MyFreeCams and the venerable nightclub will be giving away 500 gift bags with gifts from MyFreeCams, BlueBlood, Small Hands and Joanna Angel‘s Doom’s Whiskey, and [drum roll please!] copies of the new issue of our AltStar magazine about to hit newsstands with Doll_Parts on the cover. I haven’t even seen a copy yet!
