Even very successful AltPorn sites like Blue Blood and Burning Angel have had problems in the past when they publish classic horror movie inspired photos and videos. Something about what alternative women think makes good erotica is consistently seen as unacceptable when it comes to accepting payment and this puts a lot of cool female run sites at a very real disadvantage. These secondary, often foreign, billing companies that AltPorn sites get stuck with when they want to show erotic body piercing or zombie sex fantasy or classic scream queen vampire sex or lesbian fisting or whatever else turns alternative girls on usually don’t have the sophisticated systems in place that more mainstream sites use for their affiliate promotion and sales analysis. I have never seen an AltPorn site stuck with an off brand biller meet what I feel it’s full potential is.

Sorry for the tangential rambling, but it is food for thought. Traditional views of female sexuality as they relate to porn are just so far out of touch. People still think porn for women has to be soft and boring, but way more women I know are into adventurous scary kinky daring rough sex in adult media than what the men I know are into and I can’t help but wonder if billing practices like billing approval policies don’t reinforce outdated stereotypes when it comes to female sexuality in adult media.
