Burning Angel just launched their promotional site for L.A. Pink. Spoofs and parodies are very popular in porn right now and who would be better to do the fuck version of TLC’s L.A. Ink? Joanna Angel makes for a more plausible Kat Von D knockoff than most of the porn spoofs manage to cast and hopefully the High Voltage Tattoo crew have the right sense of humor to take this release for what it is. Although, from watching the show, I would bet they won’t.

Burning Angel’s new L.A. Pink promo site is nicely done and features trailers for the DVD, along with lots of free sample galleries, including behind the scenes shots and hot pics of the cast in each of their scenes. The Misty Dawn scene looks worth the price all on it’s own, although I think they could have easily found a more heavily inked woodsman than James Deen. I think she’s one of the hottest girls in all of smut right now. KittyTwo might fight me to put Draven (who they call ‘Nicole Sevvven’ for some reason in the galleries) in that top spot though. The downloads area offers banners and sexy wallpapers of the cast, although oddly enough nobody seems to have noticed have wrong URL (LAPinxxx.com?) on the wallpapers, and the promo site also features a news blog that, given the size of this production and all the people they have involved in this project so far, surprisingly still doesn’t have any news on it. But, the L.A. Pink site does give you a good idea of what to expect from the DVD and on the overall is slick and good looking.

I really like that they put so much energy and resource into making L.A. Pink. They got a great cast, the locations are well designed, and the sex looks like it will be action packed and fun to watch. But, there is a fine line between good natured parody and mean spirited mockery and from what I’ve seen so far, this production doesn’t seem to stay far enough on the good side of that. Knowing a thing or two about the tattoo world and the altporn DVD audience, I don’t expect the viewers will mind an undertone of petty bitter competitive jealousy though.

Bizarre Magazine is doing an altmodel special with altmodel Mosh on the cover. Bizarre Magazine does not really seem like mainstream media, so it seems bizarre that they might just now be doing an issue about how this altmodel thing is catching on. Bizarre Magazine has run the gorgeous Nina Kate on their cover before and they have also featured my future girlfriend April Flores on their cover. I’ll buy anything with April Flores in it, so I’ll pick up this issue, but I don’t get what is so alt about a conventionally pretty slender blond girl like Mosh. I’ve seen Mosh on at least one alt site, so somebody must think she is alt, but I wish they would explain it to me.
