The 2024 AltStar Expo and Awards Celebration was truly amazing this year and we want to thank each and every one of you involved, from the companies and makers that support our vision for a greater alternative community to the producers and talented content creators, to all the legions of fans and friends that diligently nominated and voted to support some of the most awesome work we’ve seen. You all put so much into this and we are so proud to channel that energy into providing a strong and supportive network for all of you to keep creating the fantastic things that you do.

I want to take a moment to thank Bad Dragon, who doesn’t just “present” the event, but really believes in the vision of a positive collaborative and supportive community, rooted in the mutual goal of fostering great creative alternative sexuality and sexy fun expressions of remarkable individuality. We want to thank LoyalFans for providing a great platform for cool indie creators to reach their fans. We want to thank Hankey’s Toys for making such epic sexy sculptures. Our spectacular ceremony hosts were once again Jeffrey Damnit as Master of Ceremonies and Malice McMunn as the Trophy Goddess. Amelia G and Forrest Black hosted the red carpet, interviewing dozens of luminaries doing their fabulous red carpet walks! 2023 Best Modern Burlesque Winner Daisy Ducati showed off her enthralling modern burlesque with a very hot and especially electrifying performance for the intermission entertainment. Our love goes out to all the people who made this weekend’s festivities truly special.

The next days (and likely weeks) will be a torrent of media, from all the fantastic photographers and videographers who helped capture all the action from the entire three days. But, for now, I’m sure you want to get to who the winners are this year! One personal note that I wanted to share though, for the folks that were nominated this year, and know you have been doing top level work and maybe feel a little down that you didn’t happen to be called up to the stage this time around, I want you to keep in mind that this year’s trophies are for recognizing the work done in 2023, and we really do see you out there killing it in 2024, so we really do look forward to seeing you on the stage in 2025! We love that this community is so supportive of the ones who do win, but we’re also here to support everyone who is putting in their best work and we hope we can recognize each and every one of you, as well as give you the tools and network you need to keep doing all the great things you do.
