The release party for Gothic Beauty Magazine Issue 59 went down on February 4, 2026, at Wenzday’s Party at Boardner’s on Cherokee Avenue in Hollywood. If you know, you know. Boardner’s has been a haven for LA’s gothic and fetish underground since 1942, and its legendary Saturday night event Bar Sinister has been the city’s premier dark alternative club for over 27 years. Fun fact for longtime AltPorn.Net readers: Boardner’s was also the original IRL home of the AltPorn Awards (now the AltStar Awards) when the ceremony first transitioned from a digital-only event to a live show. So this venue has serious alt cred.

The evening celebrated Issue 59 of Gothic Beauty Magazine, North America’s largest and longest-running gothic publication, now in its 25th year, with a red carpet, giveaways, and a strict gothic, industrial, and fetish dress code that the attendees took as a personal challenge they definitely rose to. The result was a parade of stunning looks: gleaming PVC from head to toe, intricate corsetry, fishnet and leather layering, elaborate body paint, and the kind of bold, confident style that makes subculture endlessly compelling.
