The 2024 AltStar Expo and Awards Celebration was truly amazing this year and we want to thank each and every one of you involved, from the companies and makers that support our vision for a greater alternative community to the producers and talented content creators, to all the legions of fans and friends that diligently nominated and voted to support some of the most awesome work we’ve seen. You all put so much into this and we are so proud to channel that energy into providing a strong and supportive network for all of you to keep creating the fantastic things that you do.

I want to take a moment to thank Bad Dragon, who doesn’t just “present” the event, but really believes in the vision of a positive collaborative and supportive community, rooted in the mutual goal of fostering great creative alternative sexuality and sexy fun expressions of remarkable individuality. We want to thank LoyalFans for providing a great platform for cool indie creators to reach their fans. We want to thank Hankey’s Toys for making such epic sexy sculptures. Our spectacular ceremony hosts were once again Jeffrey Damnit as Master of Ceremonies and Malice McMunn as the Trophy Goddess. Amelia G and Forrest Black hosted the red carpet, interviewing dozens of luminaries doing their fabulous red carpet walks! 2023 Best Modern Burlesque Winner Daisy Ducati showed off her enthralling modern burlesque with a very hot and especially electrifying performance for the intermission entertainment. Our love goes out to all the people who made this weekend’s festivities truly special.

The next days (and likely weeks) will be a torrent of media, from all the fantastic photographers and videographers who helped capture all the action from the entire three days. But, for now, I’m sure you want to get to who the winners are this year! One personal note that I wanted to share though, for the folks that were nominated this year, and know you have been doing top level work and maybe feel a little down that you didn’t happen to be called up to the stage this time around, I want you to keep in mind that this year’s trophies are for recognizing the work done in 2023, and we really do see you out there killing it in 2024, so we really do look forward to seeing you on the stage in 2025! We love that this community is so supportive of the ones who do win, but we’re also here to support everyone who is putting in their best work and we hope we can recognize each and every one of you, as well as give you the tools and network you need to keep doing all the great things you do.

We’ve found a fun and cool new party location that I think everyone will enjoy. Also in the heart of the Arts District in Downtown Las Vegas, Sinwave is a bigger space with room to have the red carpet indoors with air conditioning, so VIP attendees can all be photographed at your cool and hot best. The red carpet looks in previous years have always been so fabulous and interesting and we are looking forward to seeing what everyone wears this year. Once again, the ceremony will be hosted by MC Jeffrey Damnit and Trophy Goddess Malice McMunn. They will be presenting our beautiful cut crystal star trophies to winners on stage and they will be presenting in every category. The AltStar Awards announces all nominees live on stage. You can see the list of nominees here. Additionally, they will be presenting AltStar Hall of Fame inductees and the Chaturbate Broadcaster of the Year. We’ll have a party bus, sponsored by BlueBlood, to take everyone from the official convention hotel to the red carpet and ceremony venue where the red carpet will be hosted by AltStar Hall of Famers Amelia G and Forrest Black and there will be tons of photo and video media created. The red carpet is sponsored by Bad Dragon, LoyalFans, and Hankey’s Toys. There is open bar during the first hours of the red carpet, so it is worth it to show up early. In addition to the ceremony, we will have a fantastic burlesque performance by last year’s AltStar Awards Best Modern Burlesque winner Daisy Ducati. So we have some great panels scheduled for Saturday as well. The topics are What is PR and why do people keep talking about it, How to Build Community with your Fans, How to work with Photographers, and How to get into Burlesque and Feature Dancing. Oh, and did I mention a pool party mixer? The pool party was so much fun last year that this year we have extended it to four hours. VIP ticketed attendees are welcome at all VIP events at the official convention hotel, whether or not you are a guest of the hotel. Please note: you will need to be registered and signed in with the AltStar event to attend the pool party and even though the event is 21+, the AZILO Ultra Pool mixer is not topless and that includes please wear a bathing suit and not pasties. While we do have a shaded structure for you by the pool, you will likely want to go back and forth between the media/mixer room and panels and the pool. We have the schedule below, so you can start planning your itinerary.

We are thrilled and excited to be embarking on our second AltStar Awards and Convention Weekend in Las Vegas! After a decade in Hollywood, California, it’s been an incredible amount of work making the move and adding all these new activities, but last year was a blast and this year has even more! I really want to take a moment to appreciate all the cool companies that have stepped up to help sponsor the growth. It makes me so happy to see people supporting the Alt community and helping foster a space for such an amazing group of diverse creative individuals, dedicated to doing sexy cool things in their own unique ways. Las Vegas was a big change for us and we’re still getting used to things, working through unexpected surprises, and adding details that I think will make this event even better for everyone. I just wish we could give a trophy to ALL of you, because this community is kicking out so much amazing and inspiring work.

As last year’s event sold out and this year’s event is an additional day, only VIP tickets are available at this time and General Admission may or may not end up being released. VIP tickets give access to all activities, snacks, open bar, red carpet, ceremony, etc. If you are a nominee who has contacted us for your secret code, you may use it at the ticketing link and this is also where additional VIP tickets may be purchased.

The hotel was gracious enough to extend our discount room block by a couple of days, but the extension is only a couple of days, so please do not sleep on reserving your hotel room. Please note, the first day in our room block is sold out, but, if you would like to come a day earlier or stay a day or two later, please either contact us or DM us with your confirmation number (not other info, just confirmation number) and we can have the hotel manually adjust your reservation while keeping your AltStar discount! These are rooms in the nicer tower, near the pool and mixer locations, where everyone will be staying, includes free valet parking, and more!

Oh, and did I mention a pool party mixer? We’re making it an AltStar Awards and Convention Weekend in Las Vegas! After a decade in Hollywood, California, it’s been an incredible amount of work making the move and adding all these new activities, but it’s going to be a blast! I really want to take a moment to appreciate all the cool companies that have stepped up to help sponsor the growth. It makes me so happy to see people supporting the Alt community and helping foster a space for such an amazing group of diverse creative individuals, dedicated to doing sexy cool things in their own unique ways. Las Vegas is a big change for us and we’re still getting used to things, working through unexpected surprises, and adding details that I think will make this event even better for everyone. It feels amazing that AltPorn.net has been covering all things AltPorn for over two decades now and we always enjoy the time of year when we can expand on the recognition and appreciation that all of our creative alternative erotica friends and crushes deserve. As we do every year, we’re taking nominations for all the categories from the fans, models, and producers, as well as our own editorial board of judges.

So, if you know of any work produced in 2022 that really deserves attention for being outstanding, just hit up our nominations form. Categories are listed there. We introduced some new ones a couple years ago, especially for indie-produced clips and premium social media. If, as the world changes, and alt drives adult and adult drives the future, you can think of categories we should add, please suggest them! If you only want to nominate in one category, that is fine. If you want to share your opinion on all of them, that works too. Our panel of judges will gather the qualified suggestions in each category. You can just put a name in and press Continue, but it is helpful if you let us know why you suggested your noms. You are welcome to ask your friends and fans and collaborators to nominate you, but it is a plus if they mention why you are awesome and links to the work always help too. Shares on Twitter of who you nominated will also be considered.
