no actually quite the opposite. I think that one thing that is lost in modeling and also other forms of art is representation. Alot of people think that if they can take their clothes off and rant, they are an alt model. Stoya on the other hand, was very careful in planning her modeling career, and now has been signed by a very good company.Its no different than bands getting signed to a record label, or a famous artist having an agent.Its actually the opposite if leaving your morals in a seedy hotel with a dead hooker.so, your comment makes no sense to me..thats all i have to say on the topic. in brief, most professionals in an industry are represented unless they can represent themselves fully and completely in all aspects of business.

I think its really ridiculous that anyone would need to be so over saturated in ONE market to have to worry about how many sites or how many names they have.
But there are more than one site(s) that will refer to their models by some wording in their name. DOnt any of you alt. porners pay attention to burning angel? they do it. lazerbunny does it. Chaos Chix , lots of sites do it. In some ways the alt.porn community really blows my mind because lots of people tend to act as if they are paying attention to what is going on, yet when its convenient they forget alot. WHo cares if someone changes their name or is a feminist or not,MOST of the time its marketing or complete bullshit altogether. Thats what makes mainstream pornography kind of better. There aren’t a whole lot of fakeish conversations happening wherein people act dumb about subjects that are terribly obvious and quite ridiculous. $G has contract models , so what..So do alot of other companies, like MGM and Vivid, but noone is freaking out about that.

You would not know about your favorite bands or have anything to sit on your ass and watch on the internet or on tv without contracts or branding.
Stop trying to act as if any of it makes a differnece at all. You will probably steal your favorite bands song, watch some free porn on the internet,OR even better yet, just put it on your myspace profile that you are a feminist and start your own website! like every other person in their “left” mind.

the websites i model for never asked me to change my name or anything like that… and also, i model for so many websites that, if i had to put all their names after “jessy nix”, it would be a very very long name 😉 sometimes i write the initials of the sites on myspace after my name (for example “jessy nix [BD] [PF]”), but no one asked me to do it, i just like to promote the sites i’m on and treat me well you know? 🙂 but now i’m on too many sites so i don’t do that anymore, it was getting confusing.

Betty: They’re not the only ones who’ve claimed to be feminist, though a vast majority now seem to shy away from that label. But yes, I was referring to SG. For some reason I have a “He Who Must Not Be Named” approach to SG. I think it’s due to all the vocal groupies that have a tendency to hound one down.

Bedlam. Define “they”? As far as I know, SG is the ONLY site that makes you put “Suicide” after your name. They’re also the only site out there claiming to be feminist, as far as I know.

I have DeviantNation’s initials in front of my name on my Myspace profile for site promotion purposes only. We’ve not been pressured to add anything to our actual names or felt that we are “owned” by the site.

I guess it’s a status thing. I assume SG started it with their exclusivity contract and other sites have blindly followed. Girls, especially those on myspace seem to stack up the amount of sites they work with in their last names. I’ve got no problem with it, I’ve never asked for anyone to change their name, it’s a lil free publicity for us smaller sites I guess 😉
