I still pop around to share my two cents every once in a while. I’ve just been focused on moving, school, work, etc. It’s hard having a life outside the alt-porn world anymore. haha. But, anyway, I’m sure the vocal models are still out there, hiding and waiting to come out in full swing once the situation arises. Anyways, I’m rambling. I’m late for class, but just wanted to add my two cents while I’m having my morning cigarette.

It’s kind of a paradox. People expect alt porn girls to be edgey and smarter than the average porn star, but at the same time the expectations of porn actresses are very low. Porn isn’t something that focuses on the intellegence, it’s a focus on the body.
Being intellegent and outspoken used to go hand in hand with alt porn because, as you know, it was very grass-roots in origin. Now with corporate backing and sponsorships, as well as more attention from the very misogynist mainstream, being intellegent and outspoken has turned more into a fetish and fabricated selling point. In the mainstream, women are just a series of holes to stick a cock, and any intellegent thought is generally greeted with either indifference or a small pat on the ass and an expression of “well isn’t that cute”.
The more it becomes mass produced and excessively available, the more “professional” it becomes, the less control the models have and generally they become more of a material presence to the viewer.
Personally, I’d like to see more assertive bad ass self-respecting fuck-loving ball breakers, less submissive sex kitten “cum whore” stereotypes. Alt porn is getting corrupted by the mainstream and if the girls don’t fit into the psychological molds they are generally pushed aside for someone who just cares about the money and attention and not intention and integrity.

Not that I’m ranting or anything. Of course not… >_>

The major reason I’m not as vocal anymore near as much as I used to be is because the main reaction I get from the community is along the lines of “lol whut?”. I save that for other venues… It’s sad altporn isn’t one of them.

honestly, i tend to keep my mouth shut a little more often because i’m terrified of our government — and i’d say i’d be stupid not to be. that said, i have noticed that altmodels are slowly becoming less human more barbie doll — and its sad.

Maybe I got here a bit late in the game but was there ever that kind of dialog on this site? Or are you referring to that type of dialog in general? Yeah there is a lot wrong in the real world and the world of alt-porn but ranting on the internet isn’t really the most productive way of making changes.
