EroticBPM has been putting up some really fantastic fresh faces and hot colorful creative sexy photo sets. I love the bright fun feel of these shots of cute little Lucky, and those tight pointy pierced nipples drive me crazy.

EroticBPM writes:
EroticBPM started out as RaverPorn, so it has been really great seeing them really returning to their electronica beats per minute roots with sets like this one of Lucky. Lucky has all the best colorful accessories and I want her bracelets. Do you call it a bracelet so long as it goes around your arm or only if it goes around the wrist? Plus she has cupcake pink hair if I’m not mistaken. Lucky indeed.

EroticBPM celebrated the holiday with curvy treat Glitterhips baking us up some valentines lovin’ from the oven, complimenting it with an assortment of other tasty pleasures. This is a little bit of a different look for EroticBPM, but her enthusiasm shies through and makes this a fun set for the occasion.

EroticBPM writes:
Glitterhips demonstrates just how cute she can be in the kitchen with this special Valentines day set from EroticBPM. For anyone who wants to take her out tonight, her favorite movies are Rushmore, The Last Kiss, and Run Lola Run. Here other interests include tattoos, sex, piercings, hello kitty, being a nerd, being naked, reading, boys in glasses, belly dancing, running, pole dancing, pink hair, bunnies, and cupcakes like the ones on her apron in this set where she really cooks.

I think young Ziggy here really should be riding some sort of sparkly Unicorn and spreading her cute naked rainbow magic across the land. What an adorable little package she is. I really like the bold but not overstated stars on her tight tummy, and the desert environment helps give this a fun festival feel. EroticBPM sure has some great girls.

SpookyBlog writes:
EroticBPM finds the cutest girls. I just want to wrap little Ziggy here up and take her wherever I go. This sexy outdoors set takes place in the hot desert, probably just outside some sort of rave or festival no doubt, and getting to see this little naked pixie playing in the bright sunshine is a pleasure.

Killshot, altporn O.G. and long time friend of APN, who has been running EroticBPM for nearly a decade, worked with Fatal Beauty, and also launched SpicePlay in 2004, shared his thoughts on the latest heavily funded venture in the altporn user generated content adult membership site category, Zivity. His points on PayPal and the inherent issues of unfair competition raise some real questions. A lot of people, particularly in the DIY adult site community lost a lot of money when PayPal suddenly radically changed it’s rules on adult sales and many of them are still reasonably bitter on the point. We have some questions as well about how models and photographers can get excited to contribute for free to a site that might eventually give them a potential payout based on traffic and popularity they have to generate for themselves by spamming their friends for ‘votes’ when they could easily make more money simply joining the affiliate programs of nearly any other altporn site and promoting just as hard. Killshot also points out some interesting similarities Zivity has with his Spiceplay site, which we miss a lot. It had some great interactive features and some really innovative ways of sharing the wealth with it’s participants.
Killshot of EroticBPM writes:
Lately I have been hearing more and more about Zivity, a new adult site that pretends not to be an adult site. I largely ignored it even after seeing a few mentions by some members here at Ebpm. Then I heard some more details from a friend and started to check into it more.
I signed up for a beta account and got access a couple days later. I looked around a bit and was not really impressed because parts of it as even fleshbot noticed seemed pretty similar to what I did with spiceplay. (Sharing revenue with models based on members giving credits to models or each other.) And they even have a patent pending on that.
Yeah there are some pretty girls, some of them are naked, some of them are not, and there is all the basic social features you can expect to have. But nothing else really notable.
The thing that caught my eye the most was the fact that they take paypal. Most people wouldn’t think twice about that. But talk to anyone in the adult biz and you will probably hear the same story about their account getting banned. Or you may even hear stories about paypal once upon a time courting the business of adult websites (myself included) only to ban them all a few months later when Ebay bought them out.
So why does Zivity get a free pass?
Well, it turns out that Founders Fund and Blue Run Ventures put up the $8 Million in VC funding to get Zivity started. The same people behind paypal and numerous other tech startups. And the people behind Zivity is quite impressive.
Jon Elvekrog – CEO
According to his bio on Zivity, he has worked for HP, TIBCO, Volex, and helped build LinkExchange
Scott Banister – Chairman and Co-Founder
Founder of ListBot which sold to Microsoft
VP of Idealab – sold to AOL
Co-Founder of Ironport – Sold to Cisco for $830 million
Cyan Banister – Co Founder and Editor in Chief
Scott Banister’s wife – Details on her background are lacking
*edit* Cyan was kind enough to link me to her linkedin profile. She was a senior manager at IronPort and has had a successful career in recruiting for bay area startups. */edit*
Jeffrey Wescott – Co Founder
Former Ironport engineer
Jordan Ritter – CTO
Napster Co Founder
Cloudmark CTO
Columbia Music Entertainment CTO
John Manoogian III – Director of User Experience and Product Design
Worked at Organic Inc
Designed Yahoo’s homepage and UI
Claims to have invented social bookmarking
So why is this a big deal to me?
The fact that they can use paypal and no other adult company can is only a minor annoyance.
The fact that they are attempting to patent something that is neither new or innovative is a little more concerning and makes sense coming from an industry that is increasingly patenting anything obvious just for the sake of having a large patent portfolio and then suing people.
Non Obvious innovations that took hard work to develop certainly deserve to be patented for a period of time. Obvious patents only serve to stifle innovation and end up doing far more harm than good.
However, the biggest thing that has me going is why are they doing this? Why would all these people decide to get into the adult business? If the VC investors hope to see their money back. Zivity would likely need to maintain a paid membership of over 100,000 users. I really don’t see them lasting long.
However, if they are successful. I feel that it will be another sad day for all the creative people out there who don’t have access to piles of money but have plenty of amazing ideas.
Part of what makes the internet great is the ability to share ideas, art, and collaborate with other people to create new things. When big companies and big money comes along and lock down ideas with patents and further stifle creativity by throwing so much money at their project that other people do not even get noticed. Well, it makes the internet less diverse, it puts a lot of money in the hands of a few people, and it certainly takes away a lot of the fun.
Maybe I would feel better if Zivity had come along and done something truly different. But I just don’t see it.

Lately, I’ve really been getting back into EroticBPM, their updated look, upgraded community, and some of their recent photo sets are very hot and enjoyable. This is apparently River’s ninth set and I hope she keeps them coming. I love her smile and that body, wow. I know if I were a Caterpillar driver, that would be a pretty convincing eco-conscious argument right there.

EroticBPM has had a number of hot updates lately and this little cutie caught my eye. EroticBPM has has a few sets shot in skate shop / head shop environments and I think it really works for the theme of their site. The girls look turned on and comfortably sexy and there is a real sense of naughty fun. When girls look uncomfortably out of place, it can be a real turn off, so I’m happy when I see good sets like these. Bonnie really does look like the kind of girl I’d meet out at a warehouse party too. One part innocent and one part trouble maker, totally a good time.

One of my favorite things about the altporn genre is that the women in it tend to be more than just a hot face and body. BlueBlood’s Amelia G recently wrote an article about shooting clothing made of trash at a strip fashion show at an unusual strip club in Portland. The strip clubs in Portland are known to have all kinds of tattooed hotness. The sexy trash clothes were all made by BlueBlood model Rachel Face. This is the same girl who is known as Rivets on BurningAngel, Rachael Reckless on DeviantNation, and Marie on SuicideGirls. Anyway, I like that Rachel Face does creative crafting and I like that BlueBlood does news coverage on what their models are doing, like the Trash Factory article, along with the most awesome free gallery of tattooed hotness evar.
Read the article here and see the hot free gallery here.

BlueBlood writes:
I have had a lot of fun in Portland before and I’ve shot a bunch in Portland before. So I was down for a trip, a few weeks ago, when long-time Blue Blood hottie Rachel Face called me up and said that she’d been designing disposable clothing made out of trash and she was having a fashion show she’d love me and Forrest Black to come up and do some press coverage on. She had messaged me online about shooting some new sets for BlueBlood.com and I often enjoy shooting trips more if there is an event to shoot. Rachel invited me and Forrest Black to stay at her place, but we figured she would be crazed getting ready for her fashion show, so we stayed at EroticBPM HQ instead.
It’s not that Rachel didn’t tell me excitedly about how there would be all these strippers there. Hot girls who dance in Los Angeles usually prefer to be called dancers, but Portland cuties throw the word strippers around all the time. Yet I hadn’t quite grasped the nature of the venue. The Trash Factory fashion show was at a club called Devil’s Point. Portland peeps are probably starting to smirk now, as it occurs to them what I did not know. Never having been to Devil’s Point, I had assumed the Trash Factory fashion show venue would be a nightclub with maybe some go-go dancers or maybe a place full nude dancers went to get a beer . . . when not actually, ya know, nude.
Humorously, I had not realized it was an actual strip club. Doh! Nonetheless, the Devil’s Point people were helpful and nice and the photography did turn out awesome, if I do say so myself. Check the photos out here and check the club out when in Portland.

Speaking of anniversaries, this weekend we noticed that BlueBlood’s Amelia G helped celebrate EroticBPM’s 9 year anniversary by posting a good interview she did with EroticBPM site owner Scott Owens. According to BlueBlood, she did the interview a while back for Thomas Roche’s Eros Zine, which I used to really enjoy reading a lot while it was around. Scott has some interesting things to say and anyone interested in the original history of the AltPorn genre should check it out. Nine years is a long time to have been into this and doing it well. Congratulations EroticBPM. They also have a hot assorted gallery of some of our favorite girls from EroticBPM to go along with the interview. Read the whole thing here.

Since we are catching up on a few things. Here are the latest Compete.com rankings for our continuing AltPorn A-List Traffic and Popularity Study. Compete.com reports on a monthly basis, with statistic totals showing from the previous month. This means these are December 2007 stats, not up to the minute, according to Compete.com. The only real news here is the impressive entry of newer sites like GeekGirlsOnline and PunkGrl, hitting the chart in solid positions. CrazyBabe swapped positions with BlueBlood’s GothicSluts, as also reported on the QuantCast stats from yesterday. Otherwise, several sites slipped a slot or two as new sites entered the rankings.

We’ve had some shakeup in the monthly QuantCast edition of our AltPorn A-List Traffic and Site Popularity Study. Bob Coulter’s CrazyBabe pops up to the top of the chart, swapping positions with last month’s leader BlueBlood’s GothicSluts. SuicideGirls holds position two, followed again by BlueBlood’s BarelyEvil, also unchanged in position. The exciting news is the dramatic entry of GeekGirlsOnline, with a statistical debut all the way up in position seven. Nice work Athena Hollow! AltPorn.net slipped three spots, which we deserve for not updating for a couple weeks. Although, GodsGirls fell three as well. PunkGrl is entering the ranks well, up five spots, to position seventeen, and BellaVendetta has fallen the hardest of the group this month, losing six slots and ending up ranking twenty second of the AltPorn A-List.
I’d like to apologize, on behalf of everyone at APN. We’ve all simultaneously been overwhelmed with project work. I hear we may be interviewing for some more writer positions in the near future, so keep on the lookout for that. As always, we want to hear from you about new sites that should be ranked and added to the charts.
