Comments working again

Looks like it was a problem with the WP Blacklist plugin deleting everything. I’ve disabled it for now until I can figure out what happened. Hopefully we won’t be inundated with comment spam (fuckers).

Tough Girls Roll in the Bronx - New York Times

Okay, so there’s no nakedness (this is the Times, after all), but is there anything sexier than female roller derby? No, there is not. Bone.

Comments broken

We seem to be having an issue with comments — they don’t work. We’re working on it and will have them running again ASAP.

Another upgrade complete (mostly)

I upgraded the site to WP 1.5. There are still some messy-looking pieces, but mostly everything seems to be working okay. The whole process took longer than your usual WP upgrade because altporn.net uses a lot of custom code I wrote myself, and integrating the look and feel with the new WP1.5 template system is pretty complex.

Anyway, if you find anything really messed, lemme know.

GothicSluts: Darkly elegant Maitresse Jennifer

http://www.blueblood.net/_post/apn_gs_jennifer_bridal.jpgThe corset Maitresse Jennifer is wearing in this elegant GothicSluts.com photo series was custom made by the wonderful Isabella Costumiere for Amelia G and Forrest Black to photograph. With Jennifer’s fabulous bust, we just had to see her in it. The design is a bridal corset with more unusual colors Isabella let Amelia G select. Shooting this set was a real pleasure working with such a great team of talented incredible people.

Get a closer look at the classic sexy spooky Maitresse Jennifer over on the free Blue Blood community boards.

One of the things I find most interesting in my web stat reports are the phrases people use in search engines to find this site. Here’s the breakdown from March 2005:

Vote for the next Molly Crabapple girl (preferrably the one I recommend)

So Molly Crabapple is this woman who draws kickass illustrations of kickass chicks. She’s having a little contest to see who the next MC girl should be, and there are four “finalists.” Because she asked me first, I’m asking you to vote for the lovely Victoria Lane. She’s got a Veronica Lake thing going on that rules, and she’s a smart, strong multitalented woman. You can’t beat that.

What you’ve gotta do is send Molly an email to mollycrabapplegirls@gmail.com with your choice as the subject line. I went ahead and helped you out with that if you click on the provided link.

When you’re done with that, visit Victoria’s site www.victoria-lane.com, which has tons of super awesome photos.

CyDyBlog.net: Sexuality and Personality Survey

CyDyBlog.net writes:

Thanks to Mary’s post in the bisexual community on LiveJournal, I found this survey about sexual identity and orientation. It’s 50% demographics (including the orientation/identity stuff) and then it gets into personality quiz-type questions. The Klein Sexual Orientation Grid is involved, too. The survey does take several minutes to fill out, and it’s presented by a doctoral student in Berkeley, California. Have fun…

CyDyBlog.net: Press Bias

CyDyBlog.net writes:

Damn, I hate when wire services not only present a biased slant, but actually spin the stories they send to their partners. The Washington Times, a conservative paper owned by the Rev. Moon, had a UPI piece that claims Louise Bizzari and Barbara Hackett were suspended from the rehabilitation pool for kissing.

Gee, that’s funny, I haven’t heard that excuse anywhere else. According to a comprehensive article in the New York Blade, reasons given were as varied as “we don’t take your insurance” and that the women made threats against the staff and facility. But even if the women were expelled for kissing, the point is that the UPI blurb spins it by just saying “kissing” - this vagueness allows the reader to imagine them making out in public areas, when the reality may have been simple “see you later” peck on the cheek in a locker room.

Did I mention that I hate the conservative press and its spin?
