April Flores, AKA FattyD, is always up to something fun and delicious and she’ll be celebrating the release of her sexy new video by acclaimed visual artist Carlos Batts on November 16th November 30th, in Hollywood, California. They were even nice enough to put our blurb on the party announcement! Wish we could go. Maybe we need to send some of our Hollywood ‘people’ over there to have fun for us by proxy. Friends and industry peeps should be sure to RSVP for the party in time, and even if you are not able to go, be sure to check out the sexy video. April has a great playful sexual vibe and we’re really looking forward to seeing her and her friends in this new release.

Speaking of Burning Angel news, Forrest Black from Blue Blood, was cool enough to drop us this cute shot of himself with Joanna over at the Burning Angel Porny Monster video release party in Los Angeles. Congratulations to our AltPorn video compatriots, looks like you guys did a little better this year. Jack the Zipper won Best Director (Non-Feature) for Blacklight Beauty, which also by some rare twist actually tied with VCA’s Neu Wave Hookers for Best All Sex Release. Joanna’s Angels 2: Alt Throttle managed to win Best Sex Comedy. I hope they knew it was a comedy when they were making it. Special shout out goes to our friend Buck Angel for taking home the Transsexual Performer of the Year, although I think they might need to split that out into FTM and MTF at some point. Oh yes, and my personal favorite category, Most Outrageous Sex Scene, went to Girlvert 11 for it’s “Meat Is Murder” scene featuring Ashley Blue, Amber Wild & Steve French. The Kinsey Institute’s Annual Erotic Juried Art Show features artworks by both established and upcoming artists exploring the themes of sex, gender, and reproduction.

The exhibit is juried by Betsy Stirratt, an exhibiting artist and Director of the School of Fine Arts Gallery at Indiana University since 1987. Stirratt has curated numerous exhibits and was the contributing editor for Peek: Photographs from the Kinsey Institute (Arena Editions, 2000), Sex and Humor (Indiana University Press, 2002), and Feminine Persuasion (Indiana University Press, 2003).

Call for Artists

The Kinsey Institute is now accepting submissions for its 1st Annual Juried Erotic Art Show. The competition is open to all artists 18 years and older living within the united States. Entries must be original works in the following categories: painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, sculpture, ceramics, fibers, or mixed media. Entries must be submitted in digital format (CD or Zip Disk) identified by artist, title and dimensions. The non refundable entry fee is $25 for the first piece, $35 for two, and $40 for three.
